The rise of big data in the future of business would necessarily involve using big data and analytics. Big Data has evolved to an extent that organisations have to grapple with its three capabilities to harness the strategic value posed by it.

In this context, organisations will have to think about how their business models have to adapt to this new data-driven reality. Data semantics is an essential aspect of data that needs to be recognised.
