Course description

This module presents the highlights of "Dialogue with Minister Grace Fu on COP 28 - Navigating Climate and Business in 2024" held on 12 March 2024.

At the 2023 COP 28 held in Dubai, the global stocktake of progress towards the Paris Agreement goals highlighted the urgent need for a 43% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Subsequent to that, groundbreaking commitments were made setting the stage for an accelerated transformative shift in the fight against climate change. Singapore, as a business hub and a growing centre for green transition, continues to take the point and contribute its fair share of stewardship and leadership in bringing positive change.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) are excited to present an exclusive event tailored for business leaders and C-suite executives. It brings a unique opportunity to engage and hear a dynamic dialogue from Minister Grace Fu and a panel of distinguished experts.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of how recent commitments made by Singapore at COP28 and its influence on local policy shifts and compliance, as well as implications of the national budget allocations, converge to impact your business. A fast emerging and interesting facet is presented by a second panel dialogue on sustainable finance. Hear from industry experts who will explore the intricate relationships of sustainable finance in building business resilience and recent developments including a growing need to integrate social principles in sustainable finance.
